On Sunday, July 2, 2006, HBCRS Practitioner Pauline Tedford (at right) officially received her certificate of Practitioner Emeritus status in a surprise presentation by Rev. David and some of her fellow Practitioners during the Sunday Morning Service.

The granting of Emeritus status by United Church recognizes Pauline's devoted twenty-year service as a licensed, professional Religious Science Practitioner (RScP).

The UCRS Practitioner Code describes a Practitioner Emeritus as follows:

A Practitioner Emeritus is an honorary recognition granted by the United Church of Religious Science. A Practitioner Emeritus is recognized as a Professional Practitioner in good standing for life, with all the rights and privileges of a fully licensed Professional Practitioner without the necessity of fulfilling renewal requirements [every two years]. To achieve this recognition the Professional Practitioner must:

  1. Be in service for twenty (20) years as an active Professional Practitioner; and,
  2. Be recommended by his/her Minister.
Pauline is now one of three HBCRS Practitioners with Emeritus status. Our other Practitioners Emeritus are Joyce Gardner and Maureen Marshall.
