Weddings

A WeddingSangha, Center for Spiritual Living, honors all vows of the sacred marriage commitment. We believe that these ceremonial vows of union emerge from the deepest level of pure Spirit, where the essence of Love is truly universal and infinite. We acknowledge the truth that this Universal Love expresses itself in an infinite variety of modes and ways, each union cherished for its own uniqueness, beauty, and power. The Sangha Marriage Team welcomes every couple from all social, philosophical, and cultural pathways to discuss their potential union with us so that we may support you in the momentous step you are now ready to take in your life’s journey.
Unions, Renewal of Vows, etc.

Sangha, Center for Spiritual Living, is always excited to perform renewal services for those couples who are working through stuff and choosing to take it to the next level of understanding, dedication, support and caring.

Child Blessings & Rites of Passage

Child BlessingsWhat a joy it is to bless a new child along with her or his parents, god-parents, grand-parents, supporting family members and friends. This is in essence a vow process from all of these people in the child’s life to protect, teach, guide, honor, respect and unconditionally love them along the road of life.

House Blessings

This service is for people who are moving into a home or office that is either brand new or previously occupied. The purpose of this process is to symbolically acknowledge the past occupants, construction people, materials and financial transactions that provided this sacred place for the new residents. We set the tone together in this ceremony to create a climate of peace, comfort, safety, fun, prosperity and whatever else is your desire.

Memorials

Memorial Services at Sangha are truly a Celebration of Life—honoring the individual life of the person who is being remembered as well as the lives of family and friends, and, certainly, honoring Life itself.

Reverend David meets with those who have requested the service in order to co-create a ceremony that will reflect the unique personality, character traits, and special talents and gifts of the loved one who has transitioned into another life sphere. Thus the flavor and atmosphere of each celebration is very different—some with lively popular music and delightful humor; others, with the serenity of classical melodies and quiet sharing of memories; among many others. Poetry, prose readings, moments of meditation, loving anecdotes, and prayer all contribute to the honoring of Life that this dear one will be for all eternity.

The tone of memorial services at Sangha is filled with respect, compassion, and the joy of Rev. Davidprofound stillness as we are reminded of the magnificence of the life that has been lived. Most poignantly, there is the sense of deep connectedness among those present with each other and with the spiritual being whose physical presence may no longer be visible, but whose aliveness is intensely real and assured. Most significantly, our connectedness with the heart of Life itself is celebrated as a quiet inward acceptance of life’s infinite transformation and continuity.
